Interestingly, the car’s owner is the great-grandson of Harry Ferguson, of tractor and engineering fame. A great little conversation starter if you enjoy a bit of storytelling! Meticulously maintained, in mint condition, the car has covered just 24,800 miles in 35 years. It’s been in professional storage for the past four, now offered for sale simply due to lack of use. No expense was spared in its upkeep. The owner went above and beyond routine maintenance, with receipts totalling thousands of pounds, often exceeding what was strictly necessary, simply because he insisted on doing things right. Mass production took off after WWII in Germany, where it became known for its reliability, simplicity, and charm. German production ended in 1978 but the Beetle lived on abroad.
